We are excited to invite you to celebrate with us a three-year project presented in South Gloucestershire Libraries between 2015 and 2017.

We want to share with you some of the magic created between artists, participants and library staff and invite you to use the ideas, resources, tools and starting points from our project to embark on your own journeys, adventures and encounters in your local library.

The project was designed to enable artists to work creatively to improve wellbeing, reduce isolation and investigate how we can use the visual and performing arts to explore library spaces in new ways. The project was open to anyone experiencing mental health difficulties, including people living with dementia and their families and carers.

Accompanying the website is the Adventurer's Companion - a bookwork and resource by Liz Clarke & Company - produced as a final legacy of the project and available to loan from all South Gloucestershire Libraries.

All photography provided by Vivi Stamatatos and Vonalina Cake Photography
